Audi R8 | Wait

Yes, it looks great, and it's winning design awards all over the planet, but the Mk.I Audi R8 is not quite there yet. The R-tronic single-clutch transmission is actually slower than the manual, and seems half-baked next to the superb S-tronic dual-clutch gearbox found in the TT and VW R32. Better engine options than the base V8 are on the horizon. And by crippling its all-wheel drive system, Audi missed a unique opportunity to create the first four-season supercar. At least holding out for the next generation won't be too tough a choice, since the waiting list is months long.
