The fit seemed improved even over their wool trousers, and the Bonobos folks confirmed that this is in fact an improved cut with a more comfortable seat. As always with Bonobos, a great lining—in this case a cotton plaid that does a good job of keeping one's shirt in place. They're wonderfully soft and broken-in without being in any way broken-down or worn out (our day is not complete until we have denigrated J.Crew).
