Fisker's Luxury Plug-In Hybrid | Buy

From the pen of Henrik Fisker, who designed the Aston Martin DB9, comes a luxury plug-in hybrid. The Karma, a low-slung sedan about as tall as a Porsche 911 and with graceful curves to match the Maserati Quattroporte, will run 50 miles on electricity alone and another 300 when the gas generator kicks in. And it'll do it from 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds, with a top speed of 125 mph. The interior still needs some work, but at $80,000—less than a comparably performing but gas guzzling Mercedes S550—this is a great step forward in converging performance, luxury, and green power.
