Ideabox AKTIV

After the appearance of Ideabox's AKTIV prefab design at the Portland, Oregon Home & Garden Show, the rumour was that IKEA would be selling these compact modern homes themselves. Alas, they only provide the cabinets, flooring and other fixtures, dashing our hopes of seeing the world's flattest, heaviest box and a home assembled entirely with allen wrenches. But it's still pretty cool, and at $86,500, about half a million cheaper and a whole lot more practical than most prefabs on the market to date.
