Light grey is the new white

Wearing white shirts and sweaters is easy, but there are numerous pitfalls to going achromatic in other parts of your wardrobe. It's difficult to wear a white T under a v-neck without looking like some creepy old dude. No one other than Michael Jackson could ever really get away with white socks, and it's the rare individual who can rock white pants without looking like a South Beach hustler. But in every case, swap out the jarring brightness of white with a slightly softer light grey and you're back in business.
