Mailbag: Cardigan Buttoning Strategies

This week's question from the mailbag: "Cardigans: should I button up or leave unbuttoned?" Answer: If you take a look at the three photos in our Tipped Cardigans report you'll see three different buttoning strategies. Generally speaking we'd go with leaving just the last one open. If you undo the top button it gets sloppy in a hurry. Under no circumstances button them all—you'll not only look like a square, but will increase the potential for a deadly midsection pucker. So the rule for suit coats applies to cardigans as well.
