Answer: The three-button suit is never out of style. Two-button might be a better bet for social outings, but for anything happening before 8pm (like your entire workday) three is a great way to go, and good on you for bucking the trend regardless. This is a matter of personal style, and just how British, American, or Italian you culturally place yourself. If you go with three buttons, make sure to get one with a close, tailored fit. And always leave the third button undone. But you knew that.
