The Watchman (We See What You Did There) writes: "What kind of watch band should I wear for dressing up? I have a good watch with a steel band, should I have one with a leather strap too?" Answer: We sort of like wearing a sporty steel-band watch with a good suit; it suggests that you're somehow not completely tame. Leather's nice, but it doesn't breathe, and being dead animal skin it will eventually smell bad and decay. A nice compromise would be a fine mesh band, like you'd find on reasonably-priced Skagen watches.
