Old-time hockey! Toe Blake!

Apparently he was in a few other films as well, but we'll always remember Paul Newman (1925-2008) as player/coach Reggie Dunlop of the Charlestown Chiefs in "Slap Shot"—not just the greatest hockey movie of all time, but until "Miracle" came along 27 years later, the only hockey movie worth watching. Anyone who's ever laced 'em up and stepped onto the ice has at some point been inspired by Reg's legendary pep talk: "Let 'em know you're there! Get that stick in their side, let 'em know you're there! Put some f**kin' lumber in their teeth, let 'em know you're there!" Good night, coach, wherever you are.
