Real Designers Don't Pop | Fail

No designer with any ability has ever used the word "pop" to describe anything other than a beverage or an old dude. This is a sure-fire sign that you're dealing not with a skilled professional, but rather a talentless hack whose entire training and experience consists of watching Bravo reality shows. No matter what industry you're operating in—whether you're interviewing graphic artists or kitchen designers—if you hear them talk about making anything "pop", RUN. Or lance them with a sharp object. Your call.
