Regular readers know that we are fans of propaganda art with its epic, iconic imagery stirring the masses to... well, whatever. So we were pleased to read in this month's Metropolis magazine about their new book, Green Patriot Posters, which applies the art form to tackle climate change and all of its attendant issues. Included works run the gamut from confrontational to inspirational—including Frédéric Tacer's Global Warming (left), which brings to mind dark WWII-era Polish and Russian warnings against the creeping tide of fascism, and Shapard Fairey's Power Up Windmill (right), a proud and patriotic call to arms for energy independence. Each powerful in its own way.
