Scoring the retro NHL jerseys

Hockey season is upon us, and two Canadian-based teams are rolling out retro-styled jerseys. The Ottawa Senators (left) are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the franchise's modern incarnation with a jersey based on that of the original Stanley Cup-winning Ottawa Senators of the 1920s (inset). Winnipeg, meanwhile, welcomes the NHL back after 15 years without a team. Whether due to a desire to make a fresh start of it, or simple (and understandable) distaste for the rather dated earlier jersey, the new model still has a retro flavour with its old-school stripes and a simple logo of a jet atop a maple leaf. Each is respectful of classic hockey style and we like them both.
