Shat happens (in a kick-ass sport coat)

We never thought we'd cite Engadget nor William Shatner as a source for menswear inspiration, but somehow both converged with a few of our favourite elements of style. Regular readers know we love camel and The 1970s, and here's both: a 1976 AT&T video of The Shat explaining microprocessors in a kick-ass camel-tan sport coat (left) that would look as stylish today as it did then. We can largely thank Tom Ford for keeping broad lapels alive in contemporary menswear, but give it up also to Ralph Lauren for his Italian-made wide-winged Polo sport coats (right) in timeless tweeds and plaids.
