The 2010 Taurus is not a Chrysler 300 | Wait

The Taurus name seems to harken back to what passes for "the good old days" in modern Ford history, which we guess is why they rebadged and regrilled the moderately handsome Ford Five Hundred in 2008. This month's Detroit auto show brings us a new 2010 Taurus, and we have to say, in profile it looks an awful lot like the Chrysler 300, with the chopped-looking top and squared-off corners. The real 300 has certain charms, being a big heavy sloppy RWD American beast that lets you switch off the traction control and squeal around corners like Starsky & Hutch. If this model continues the staid family sedan tradition of Taurii past, it might not want to invite the comparison.
