The bag on the left is Coach's outstanding and iconic Bleecker Legacy Weekend Tote. On the right, L.L.Bean's Town and Field Tote. We wouldn't go so far as to say that the only difference between the two is a luxury brand's logo and $440, but truthfully, the existence of the latter is what keeps us from laying out cash for the former—the Coach bag is a thing of beauty but we'd rather have the Bean in all three available colours and $120 left over. We wrote about the LLB tote a couple of years back, and at that time, our only real gripe was a lining printed with birds and fish and other extremely raw food products. Apparently they listened to us, because the latest update brings a plain tan cotton twill lining. They also increased the price by $30. Tradeoff accepted.
