Warming Up To Hoodies | Buy

We're starting to come around a bit on the idea of the hoody. At least in theory, on the grounds that the hood actually does serve a useful function and utility is after all a big part of good design. The standard-issue shabby grey fleece pieces with drawstrings are still dreadful—we're looking at you, Urban Outfitters—but there's no reason why these things can't be made in better styles and from quality materials. This Banana Republic wool sweater is kind of nice, and would be better still without the kangaroo pockets. Decent one at The Gap as well.
