With the obvious exception of their cheeky FCUK t-shirts, French Connection's clothing doesn't typically draw a lot of attention to itself. Their spring/summer 2009 collection delivers more of what we like and expect from the brand: a lot of quality, slightly overpriced button-up shirts, polos, and lightweight knits, with their strength in the sublime details of modern fit: shoulders and collars that sit just right, shirts cut to just the right length, sides trim enough to slim you without being tight. Think of them as a source for basics that aren't all that basic. Our new go-to store ever since Banana Republic stuff started to dissolve after a few washes.
