H&M clothes are known for being inexpensive, on-trend, lightweight and not particularly durable. As we enter the spring/summer season of a global economic recession, this might make them just the place to shop. Few of us want to spend a lot of money on clothes right now, so maybe this is the time to try on some new looks without making any major investment. If a $100 cotton suit or a $20 polo starts to fray after a year or so, it probably served you well. By then maybe times won't be so tough... or at the very least the low-end fashion world will have something new for us to consider. Shown: loose-knit taupe sweater, linen/cotton, $30.
