It's been a while since we did one of these, but then, it's been a while since we did much of anything. As always, $25 for a deodorant stick seems less insane when viewed as a way of trying out and living with the expensive eaus de toilettes from which they are ostensibly derived.

Bleu de Chanel
Officially: "An aromatic blend of citrus and woods".
Impression: That's pretty accurate, with a nice floral overlay.

Dior Sauvage
Officially: Bergamot, sichuan pepper, ambergris.
Impression: Ambergris is this waxy crud they scrape out of sperm whale intestines, so if you had a preconception of what that smells like, this should thankfully exceed that. Spicy with a trace of musk.

Tom Ford Noir
Officially: Bergamot, black pepper, nutmeg, Bulgarian rose, amber, vanilla.
Impression: The rose comes through first and the spiciness follows. The strongest and most staying power of the three.
